My grandmother Nena is a very funny, talented, dedicated and creative woman. At the age of fifteen she was already a dressmaking teacher for Singer. And since where fashion is concerned she was always one step ahead, in the late 1930s she would walk through town wearing exclusive little numbers, raising sighs and comments. Because, it must also be said: she was and still is a beautiful woman.
My grandma is a consummate painter, and if I have any curiosity within me for a creative path, it certainly comes from my mother's side of my family. During the last,(very long) holidays I spent in Argentina, she gave me a few crochet samples she wove when she was ten years old (and she'll be turning 88 in August). Let it be noted that she tried to teach me, but, to begin with, I can't get it through my head that you can make these wonderful things with just one needle.

And she gave me them so I can use them in my "artistic projects". The truth is that to me they are a treasure just the way they are and I don't want to change a thing. But I made an exception with Enriqueta, because she's the first doll I made and she deserved the honour. Voilà:
